Feedback Friday 4-20-2018

Hey guys, today I'm going to be answering Dalia Falmea's Feedback Friday question!
"We've unleashed a new member benefit this weekend for crafters - unlimited crafting (no cooldown) and double reagents. So, who's enjoying this new benefit and what do you think? Which of our member benefits do you look forward to the most? What's your top 3? If we could add a few new ones, what would they be?"

Well, first of all, I don't have a membership (planning on getting one soon) so I am not experiencing this for myself. Although, every time I go to craft something or grab a reagent, it rubs it in my face :^) Anyways, I think this is a pretty cool benefit. I can't say that I'm an avid crafter or anything (or that even like crafting at all) but I think this is a good benefit for people who enjoy crafting. I think if I had a membership I would be most excited about the free Training Point buyback, because on Cole Goldenflame I mad some insanely bad choices with my Training Points, and I think it's at the point where I either buy them back or don't progress, so that's nice. My top three benefits are probably the free Training Point buyback, zero Energy Fishing, and improved rewards on Daily Assignments. If I were to add a new one, I might add something like zero Energy Gardening or Double XP, although that might be a bit overpowered.

So, that's what I think about this week's Feedback Friday. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the Spiral!

April 2018 Update - Hatchmaking Tome

Hello guys, today I'm going to be taking a look at the newest update to Wizard101. I understand that I'm a bit late, but oh well, let's look at this anyways.

Hatchmaking Kiosk
The Hatchmaking Kiosk is a new kiosk in the Pet Pavilion (I don't care if they are calling it the Pet Park, it will always be the Pet Pavilion to me). Kingsisle added the kiosk for finding interesting pets easier. The old way of hatching will not be retired. The way the kiosk works is this: you can either browse, offer, or manage pets. When you are browsing pets, first you have to find a pet that interests you. Once you go to that pet, you must agree to the hatching price and hatch with the pet. When offering pets, you will click one of your pets and click offer. This will put the pet in the system, and it will let other wizards hatch with your pet. When managing pets, you can see the pets that have hatched with your pet, and if you want to, you can hatch with that pet.
Here are some notes Kingsisle wants you to know:

  • You can also remove any pet you're offering.
  • Your pet can only be hatched with ten times, and then it will be removed until you offer it for hatching again.
  • Only five of your pets can be offered at a time.
  • Your pet will be removed from the system after one week.
  • Lots of Crown pets will not be eligible in the Hatchmaking Kiosk, but may be available in the future. If a Crown pet is already in your Hatchmaking Kiosk, no Crowns cost will be applied for hatching with that pet.
  • After someone hatches with your pet, it will be removed from the Kiosk for an hour, but will then be put back in.
  • Every time you hatch with another pet in the Kiosk, you get a reagent called the Hatch Pepper. Doctor Purreau can give you recipes that use the reagent.
  • Once a week, there is a day called Hatchmaking Day. A pet will be featured to hatch with on that day depending on the hour.
A hatchmaking tome has been placed next to the Kiosk in case you forget how to use the Kiosk. There were also a few badges added to the game to go with the Kiosk.

Pet Tome
To go with the Hatchmaking Kiosk, Kingsisle also added a Pet Tome. This tome tells you which pets you have, and some info on each of them, such as their school and which types of snacks they like.

Commons Construction
Renee Wooften and her crew are doing work on the Commons. They added a new dock at the pond, and other smaller things like a small tree by the library, or construction workers scattered around the Commons.

New Loading Screens
There are now new loading screens for every world in the Spiral! This means that whichever world you are in, there will be a different loading screen.

New Skeleton Key Bosses
There are also two new Skeleton Key bosses! One is from an introductory quest given by Dueling Diego to level five wizards. The wizard must face Diego's own brother, Roberto in a dungeon in Olde Town. The other boss is in Zanadu in Empyrea - Corporal Tenni'syn. He is a level 16 Storm boss who requires a gold key to fight. Also, if you are in a dungeon and you look at the map, if in the bottom right corner you see the Skeleton Key symbol, then it means a boss in that dungeon drops a key.

Bug Fixes and Changes
There were also a whole lot of bug fixes and game changes - you can find the full list here!

OVERALL
Overall, I thought this was a pretty cool update. The Hatchmaking Kiosk is a very welcome addition, which will definitely make it much easier to hatch. The small additions to the Commons really seem to be the beginning of something interesting, and the loading screens are a much needed addition to the game. And it's always great to see new Key Bosses.

Well, thanks for taking time to read this! As always, I'll see you in the Spiral!

Woah!

Oh my gosh guys! It's been more than a year since I've even looked at this blog, and I totally forgot about it! Looking back now is sort of embarrassing, seeing most of the posts being about wanting to get active again. I started playing Wizard again like last week, started a new Life wizard, and am now about to get to Marleybone. I also leveled my Fire wizard a bit to level 57, so that's pretty cool. Maybe I'll be active again? You never know! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you in the Spiral ;)

A couple of things..

I want this to be active again. I have had a busy summer and now that school is back I might have time. So, we've all heard the news! Happy Birthday Wizard101! I opened the Dragon's Hoard Pack and all I got was furniture, pet snacks and reagents... I am going to die from packs, I swear. Anyways, what have I been up to for the past few months, you ask? No? You don't ask? Meh, I'll just tell you anyways. I have been playing Geometry Dash a lot lately, and I beat 10 demons in a week. Including Nine Circles! So, I want this to be an active blog again. I want this to become a blog people read for fun, not a blog that used to exist but is awful. I want this to survive. I want this to thrive. And as always, I'll see you in the Spiral. I'll be active a lot in it.

Promises...

Hello guys! It's been quite a while ;) Sorry about that. I promise to be more active from now on. I promise that this blog will be quality. I promise I will make my own Wizard101 walkthrough. Anyways, I've heard something sad happened a while ago. I heard that Kingsisle laid off quite a few of their employees. I hope those former employees have good luck in their next job. Lots of things in Wizard101 have been happening since my last post. I was just sitting on my phone playing Geometry Dash unaware. That happens a lot. June started off strong in the game with a Pet-A-Palooza. The "Basking in the Sun Shark" is back in the Spiral this June, because everyone's favorite season (summer) is here! Let's talk about that for a second, Summer is awesome. You don't have to go to school and instead you can play Wizard101 while everyone else is playing in the sun XD Anyways, the next addition is the addition of a new bundle. You can watch the video here, or I can tell you what's in it. Basically, you get a huge two-handed crossbow, a Vampire Squire-el pet, and a Coffin Car mount. You can buy the Cheesiwitz family in the pet section of the Crown Shop. They have an interesting backstory that you can read about here. Thanks for reading this post! As always, see you in the Spiral!!!

New Update!!!

Hello guys! First of all, just wanted to say sorry for the inactivity, but things happen. Anyways, the topic of this post is the new update for Wizard101! This wasn't the biggest update we've ever had, since it didn't add a new world, but that doesn't mean it wasn't awesome! So, the biggest addition to the game was Daily Assignments. Here's what it says on Wizard101's website: "Earn rewards for playing Wizard101 each day, with Daily Assignments. Wizards level 12 and above should visit Aegon Statz in Ravenwood to take on the quest "The Gravulum Order" for an introduction to Daily Assignments. Then, every day when you log in, you can either visit Aegon or the Gravulum Lodestone item in your home to see the assignment for the day. Assignments will send you all over the Spiral to defeat various foes and earn cumulative rewards." So, basically, you log in every day and accomplish the Daily Assignment, which it says is defeating a foe, but in my experience, it sent me to check the Mooshu clothing shop for whatever he is looking for, so :P. It goes on about not having to do it every day, but that doesn't matter. They also added fishing in Zafaria, which I'm sure lot's of people are excited about, but I don't like fishing so idc. They added three Skeleton Key bosses, one of which are Wooden, one of which are Stone, and one of which are Gold. The Wooden Key boss is Ra, a Rank 4 boss, the Stone Key boss is Ixcax Cursedwing, a Rank 13 boss, and the Gold Key boss is Omen Stribog, a Rank 17 boss. Ra is in the Krokotopia Library, Ixcax is in the Black Sun Pyramid in Azteca, and Omen is in The River of Frozen Tears in Polaris. The next addition I'm a little disappointed about, because Level 100 Wizards and higher can learn Nature's Wrath, Forest Lord, Orthrus, Power Nova, Ice Trap, Frost Giant, Fire Dragon, Triton, Storm Lord, Death Trap, and Skeletal Dragon, regardless of which school they are in. My most recent spell is Fire Dragon, so I am thoroughly disappointed. The next addition is Gear Vaults, in which you can put extra equipment items in. You can have up to two, one inside and one outside. Of course, they fixed many bugs and added minor things as well. If you want the full list, click here. But as always,
See you in the Spiral!

Happy New Year!

2015 was a great year. I got far in GD, and got far in Wizard101. I started rapidly uploading videos up onto my channel, a few each day every weekend. I think it's awesome that 2.0 came out in GD, Meltdown came out, and lots of other things have happened. Some of the greatest movies ever came out, such as Jurassic World, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Also, I got a huge amount of pageviews this year, all thanks to you guys! I am really thankful to have you. Anyways, I hope you guys have a great 2016. Talk to you soon, and as always, see you in the Spiral!
